Whatever happens in tonight’s Warriors-Mavericks’ game (or if needed Games 6 or 7) this GSW’s season has been entertaining and satisfying beyond my wildest hopes. I’m a veteran Warriors fan/sufferer, people. Sometimes at night I go through the roll of traumatic times: trading away Robert Parish and the draft rights to Kevin McHale for Joe Barry Carrol; trading away Bernard King for Michael Ray Richardson; trading Sleepy Floyd for Ralph Sampson; trading Mitch Richmond for Billy Owens; The Chris Webber Trauma; the Latrell Sprewell Choking Incident. Boo, hoo, hoo!
I’m enjoying the presentW’s moment for all it’s worth. Maybe I’ll wear a Baron Davis Beard to work tonight.
So, in musical tribute to a more than I possibly could have hoped for season from the W’s, here’s Sloan! (see my previous entry on these guys) They put on a very good show at the Independent last night. Professionally passionate, if not transcendent.
Is it too much to ask for transcendence from the Warriors?
